Veronica Sanchez, DSW, LISW, LCSW was born and raised in northern New Mexico.  Dr. Sanchez has practiced in both micro and macro capacities over the past 19 years. She has provided direct services, worked in leadership/administrative roles and higher education primarily with non-traditional students. 

Dr. Sanchez has extensive experience in clinical, administrative, community-based programming, cross-disciplinary practice, workforce development and project management in diverse industries such as social services, behavioral health, physical health settings and education.

She has taught for undergraduate and graduate human service and social work degree programs. She has been a coordinator for student field placements and developed classroom curriculum. 

Dr. Sanchez has been a member of NASW since 2011. She served on the NASW-NM board as the northern chair representative and currently serves on the ethics committee. She is a member of the opioid response network indigenous community’s workgroup assisting tribal communities throughout the U.S. on community-based programming to address the opioid epidemic. 

Dr. Sanchez is a local evaluator on several SAMHSA funded grant projects where she develops instruments and methods using a community-based approach. She assists in developing programming utilizing best practices and has continued to assist organizations in obtaining accreditation.

Dr. Sanchez continues to present at conferences and conduct training in areas of evaluation, leadership and entrepreneurialism, cross-disciplinary practice, person-centered care, team development, policy and procedure application. Her research interests include rural integrated healthcare between physical and mental health with a focus on coordination, cross referral, collaboration and communication. 

Dr. Sanchez is the owner of Innovative Executive Quality Solutions, LLC. Using data driven practices, she works to enhance healthy and competent workforces among the helping professions. She is an advocate for the profession of social work who believes in the support, growth, development and furtherance of social work practitioners as well as the profession as a whole. She is innovative and has experience in creating strategic solutions. 

Dr. Sanchez enjoys working with others and is resourceful and creative in problem solving with a solution focused approach.

Mia, a native of New Mexico, brings a wealth of expertise and qualifications to her role as Director of Operations. With a strong educational background, she obtained her MBA from the University of Phoenix and her BBA from the prestigious University of New Mexico, Anderson School of Management. Currently, she is on the verge of completing her PhD at the University of New Mexico, where her research focuses on technology integration using narrative inquiry.

With 18 years of experience in education and administration, Mia has honed her skills and knowledge in various critical areas. Her areas of expertise encompass business operations, finance and budgeting, technology implementation, troubleshooting and solutions, human resources, conference management, data-driven decision making, and marketing.

Mia thrives in dynamic team environments, finding great satisfaction in supporting others to achieve their short and long-term goals through strategic planning and implementation. Her strategic mindset, coupled with her proficiency in multiple domains, enables her to provide comprehensive guidance and support to her colleagues. She has a keen ability to analyze complex situations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions that drive organizational success.

Hello my name is Leandra. 

God has given me a passion for helping people in any way that I can. That passion translates through my line of work. I work as a Certified Personal Trainer and I love sharing a holistic view of health with people. I am also currently going to school to become an Integrative Health Practitioner. 

My passion to help people is also a reason that I love working with Cornerstone to Excellence. In my position as the Outreach Coordinator I have the opportunity of meeting many people, all in the field of helping others, and I get to connect them with opportunities of advancement for either themselves or the people they are helping. 

I feel very grateful and fulfilled with the line of work I do. Side note, I also love animals and have three Doberman pinschers (trying to convince the husband for a fourth!) and one cat. (:
